Hi all,

My name is John and I'm the founder of FFXIVCore.com and I've been around the MMO scene since Meridian 59. I'm from Sweden.

As for gaming, I've played since I was a little child. All from Dune on the Amiga to Quake & QuakeWorld TeamFortress to the PC. When I entered the MMO scene I played Meridian 59 as my first MMO. It was a great experience to play it on dial-up 28k paying for each minute being online. After Meridian 59 I played EverQuest for a very very long time.

EverQuest was and still is the best MMO in my opinion. I truly enjoyed it. So many memories.. After EverQuest I went to Lineage 2 and played it for awhile, it was great in the beginning, sadly cheating and botting took over later on. And yes, after L2 I played World of Warcraft -- which I quit in 2008, and currently I play no MMO's.

Moving on...

The Final Fantasy franchise is very dear to me. I was introduced to it on the NES and later the SNES, Final Fantasy 3 / 6 and Final Fantasy 7 really put me in awe. They're amazing. Final Fantasy XIV makes me incredibly curious and I look forward to sharing the latest news and information, and also discussing FFXIV with everyone here at FFXIVCore.

As for community and fansites, I've run my fair share of them in the past, so I truly look forward to see how FFXIVCore will evolve. Please do not hesitate to comment on anything you feel could get improved upon here. We listen to everything.

    I have 3 regulars. Green tea, Organic Earl Grey with Malva flower which is really great, and if I dont want caffeine I drink a chamomile and mint herb tea, which is awesome before going to bed after you brush your teeth :]
