Thanks for the translation! Keep it coming!

Personally I'm interested in playing a tank type build although I want to wait to see what all the choices are available and how the system really works. I'm wondering if you can change weapon/class mid battle because that's what it sounds like. I wonder if they'll add a cap to the number of classes you can max if that's the case (I see they haven't decided yet on that).

Oh and hi! Just joined. Nice site you got here!

I'm really interested to see how being a Fisherman comes into play for parties lol. With my Moat Carp in hand I'm ready to take down the enemy!!!

LOL I kinda got sick of fishing in FFXI this last round. I think my fishing got to 27 but ugh... I could have vomited moat carp on command.

Add: So much great information. Loving every bit of it. Thank you for staying on top of this stuff!

I'd probably say pre-render, but I'm not an art buff so not 100% sure. Just going by how FFXI first pictures looked compared to this.
"Remember: The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

Leaning towards Enchanter and the oddly named humans myself, though I am a bit sad they did away with the classes we know and love. The only thing thing I hope for now is that there are far more classes than they revealed and even possibly more categories.

I agree with you. Really think right now they are lacking in the class area and hope to see even more to come out. Sure they will add more classes as the game progress over time, but right now I think then need to not count crafters/gathers as class. Its more of an extra thing to do to help you progress.

As for me I'll be playing either the Lalafell or Miqo'te, and probably going for a Swordsman or Archer.

Interesting information. I'm looking forward to the weather and time aspects of the game, I always like it when a game incorporates these sorts of elements well. Not sure what race I'll be, Hyuran, Elzan, or Miqo'te (doesn't really narrow it down)... :/ As for the jobs, I think I'm gonna have to wait (impatiently) for more information before thinking too hard on that, lol.

Aye, they have quite a list of classes to live up to, considering FFXI. Though I do not mind crafters being an actual class, that only insures the crafting in this game will likely be deep and involving which is great. I just hope they add additional categories/classes. So far...no pet class or melee-mage (enchanter might be..), which saddens me.

I am also very curious to see how the crafter/gatherer jobs will come into play since they seem to now be considered in the same sense as the traditional combat classes. Also wondering what the more notable gender differences mentioned will be and hope they will be interesting enough to compensate the slight disappointment in the lack of no new race(s). Overall I am pretty excited about the game as it is looking great already and wish it was coming out sooner

Yeah this is very true. Crafting and gathering did lack a lot in FFXI, and I'm glad they are finally getting their due. ALso have to agree that I want this game now lol. I need something to play.

Thanks for the update! The classes really intrigued me. Can't wait to get more info about how crafters and gatherers quest.

Yes friend, it intrigues me as well... I'll definitely want to go a heal support build. But I feel like there is too little info for me to go making my dream class just yet. It'll depend heavily on whether or not you can switch in combat, speed of change and how important levels as well as the weapons. What about skills do you keep what you've learned?

definitely going Lala though.

I loved the crafting system in Vanguard (before it got considerably dumbed down) - I love crafting period as long as it is well implemented within the game. That could really be fascinating being some kind of crafter/gatherer class, doing that job while in a group... "Hold on the next pull - I need to get my smithing hammer!" Is smithing hammer = a cast iron frying pan? Hmmm The implications are numerous!

Great information. Kinda has me a little curious on how all of it will work. You can be all jobs and switch with your armor. But you level up your weapons for you level not yourself. Hmm, well it talks about switching to a healer if the group situation needs it but what if your healer is 16 lvls lower than your main. I guess that issue will be addressed when we get some more information on the game. I'll more than likely go elzen in this FF. I love the elvaan races.

Site looks great and keep the good news coming!
