I've already had the collectors ED pre-ordered for a few months now and I was debating on where I would go as far as a legion goes since I don't know all that many people playing so this works out well as I'll be in a legion full of FF fans like me. =) I haven't been playing the beta all that much since there isn't much people I know playing and I haven't had much reason to level something that will get deleted.

should I pick this game up and give it a try when it releases? I've played both WoW and FFXI and had no problems with either, so base it off that.

It isn't gonna baby you like wow does now, but it isn't going to scare you away like FFXI would if you were to start playing for the first time right now.

That sounds good actually a nice balance. FFXI didn't scare me and when I went to WoW.... I can't even explain the ease of WoW it kinda sucked lol

Aion is very much OPEN PvP! Keep this in mind! You can be killed by anyone at anytime for whatever reason! When you die, you lose exp and you have to pay some money as well.
In terms of classes...
Gladiator - a Damage Dealing class that uses heavy armor and huge weapons to beat things down!
Templar - a Tank class that uses a sword and shield to keep the attention of the mob so others can kill it!
Assassin - a Damage Dealing class that uses speed and critical attacks to take down foes!
Ranger - a Damage Dealing class that uses a bow and arrow to shoot from a distance!
Sorcerer - a Damage Dealing class that uses magic to turn up the heat in battle!
Spirit Master - a Damage Dealing class that uses spirits to assist in combat!
Cleric - a Healing class that makes sure everyone stays alive to fight the good fight!
Chanter - a Buff class that uses magic to boost the stats and abilities of other players!
Umm... is there anything else you are looking to know specifically?
The game has been in Closed Beta for awhile but is moving into Open Beta very very soon! And the game launches on September 22, 2009! So.. rock on! If you plan on buying it.. I recommend you do the pre-order of the full game for $50 so you get the 3 special in-game items for when the game launches that are exclusive to those pre-orders. You can also buy a $60 version which includes even more goodies!
Info on pre-orders can be found and purchased here: https://secure.ncsof...de=&category=14

I am liking assassin, are there any races? or is everyone the same? ah and is it computer friendly like FFXI and WoW? I don't have a great computer but it's not bad lol
I think I might pre-order it as soon as I get a little more info on it. I'm going to look up those goodies for the game :P

But honestly, if you PC can run WoW, you should be fine!
In terms of race... there are 2 factions. Think of it like Alliance and Horde. They are all the same race pretty much. You can customize your character to an extreme amount so its like making your own race lol.
Here is a very nice video showing off the classes: Aion Classes In Game

Mooga gave me some more cakes!
To those that are reading 100 of my posts scattered around FFXIVCore that seem not to be me, I would like to apologize because my account was fused with a certain staff. To know if the post is from me, it HAS to contain "cake".
