The pictures are of low quality so it’s difficult to translate, but I did what I could. Enjoy!

World of XIV
Here they write the usual introductory paragraph. My, that’s a nice looking map.

Places to visit in Limsa Lominsa
From top to bottom, we have the Mizzenmast, the Octant plaza, the International Hawker’s Alley, and the Polaris lighthouse. At the bottom, there’s a two-shot of a comparison of the lighting for the alpha version and the beta version. This is something we can look forward to when our higher-quality scans come around.

Guilds and everyday Eorzean life
A lot of this is too small to see, but there is a list of the classes in each discipline and information about a boat. Asutarishia, so maybe the Astarician? This looks like a job for the Square Enix localization team. Plus, some fancy-pants sailor poses next to the symbol for the Marauders’ guild.

Continent of adventure: a map of Eorzea!
Blah blah blah tiny Japanese symbols blah blah HOLY CRAP! EORZEA!
From left to right on the bottom you see the country crests for Limsa Lominsa, Ul’dah and Gridania.

We have a few different guilds lined up on these next two pages; on page 6, we have the fishermen’s guild with a picture of their leader, Wawalago Momolago, which is Lalafell for “Stop making fun of my stutter.” The musketeer guild on the bottom, and they are apparently holed up in a place called the “Coral Tower,” where they sit around practicing Gun-katas and making fun of people whose pants aren’t as white as theirs. This swarthy looking fellow in the middle seems to be named Baderon, and he must be the proprietor of the “Drowned Dolphin.” This is a translation of the Japanese name; who knows what the localization team has named it. (Has this information been released to the Western public yet? Square Enix isn’t as cooperative with international press as they are with the Japanese, so for a lot of these names, you’re going to have to deal with my translations from the Japanese version released to the press. Apologies.)

Continuing with the guilds, we have the armorer guild, run by Ha Nanza Eshi (Gesundheit!) The blacksmithing guild is run by Mimidoa Nanadoa, a Lalafell who worked his way up through the ranks from his original position as a hammer for Roegadyn members. They’re in the Nardic and Vimely building. The culinary guild is logated in Restaurant Bismarck. Their leader is the great chef Ringsas… Dusfalkshin… or something. The bigger they are, the longer the name, eh? Anyway, hamburgers are not made in this guild. They make hamburg, a Japanese variant of Salisbury steak. They are not saying “Ooh, hamburger!” in the video. Just thought you should know.
Well Corians, this is what we’ve been able to glean from the photos. Below I’ve also listed the guilds and countries with their crests. The list is brought to you by Draconix!
