Good morning, afternoon, and evening, Corians!

FFXIV News so far:
  • FFXIV Tester Site opening March 11th for those chosen! - Invite notification info still unknown - https://dev-na.ffxiv.comhttps://dev-eu.ffxiv.com https://dev-jp.ffxiv.com
  • Beta announced for FFXIV - Details have not yet been completely revealed
  • New FFXIV gameplay footage - not yet viewable to non-attendants for the moment
  • Info on the FFXIV Alpha for the FFXI players invited will be sent March 1st

FFXI News
  • Odin and Alexander as Summons in FFXI!
  • Level cap increased to 99 in FFXI!
  • Three Mini Expansions announced
  • New high level area - Abyssea
  • Earn AF3 in Abyssea with only a single party!
  • New gigantic NM and HNM!
  • Black Mages to possibly learn Meteor!
  • Many class adjustments - will be detailed later

Vana'Fest 2010 is now over! We'll be digesting the information from the event and adding any new information as it becomes available, so stay tuned over the next couple of days!




This morning's official Live Stream Test on location at Vanafest is over. Sorry if you missed it. A recap:

It started with the host holding up and explaining a moogle-patterned handkerchief, which all VanaFest goers will be receiving, apparently. He showed a few ways you could use it, including wrapping it around your hear like a do-rag, as presented by Mr. Tanaka. They then took the camera around the Seinenkan, the venue at which this is being held, to show what it looks like around the inside.

Very good information though I doubt I will be playing FFXI long enough to reach level 99, but how awesome is it that FF13 releases on my birthday and FF14 beta starts 3 days after. I'm a good luck and good omen type of person.

Crazy news for FFXI! O.o

Level cap raised for first time in 7 years. MAn it's gonna rebalance/unbalance the game in so many ways.


And yay for XIV beta. Not that I applied, I want to wait for the final product. But it means we finally get a clue about release date. Assuming 6 months of beta, the game will release September/October. I can live with that. :)

HAHA, lvl 99 cap and Meteor. Now that's what i call traditional Final Fantasy :P
