I was just wondering if there was/is going to be a Core linkshell or Grand Company?How awesome that would be to play ARR with Core members.I don't know anything about it, I am just curious to know if there is such a plan in place, seems like a great idea.Any info or ideas on this would be great.

IIRC there is/was a Core-based LS on one of the servers, maybe Balmung? I personally was not on the correct server to be part of that group but I honestly do not know if it is still around, the game did suffer a large amount of early player-loss. There are lots of active LS on here, and even those of us who are not in the same LS communicate through these forums as well as in-game (when there is a game to log into of course!).

I see you are not no my server, but if you ever swap to Excalibur look me up and we'll destroy some baddies and right some wrongs together. Or wrong some rights if someone needs some helpless squirrels killed for no apparent reason; who am I to turn down free EXP?

There were one or two Linkshells in 1.0 that were created and populated mostly by members of the Core, although I am afraid that I don't know if they still persist to this day.

There were a few of us that had our own linkshells although nothing "official" to my knowledge.

From a staff perspective we stretched across all three regions so that would have made it difficult. Not too mention a few staff changes :)

I will likely be rerolling on a new server to experience ARR.Thanks for the information,and who knows maybe there will be a time when a Core ls or gc will rise again.I love the core and will certainly be using it as a community resource more when ARR goes live.Thanks again

I was on here quite a bit back at the release of FFXIV, but life has gotten in the way over the last year or so, never played a lot of 1.0.

Hoping to dive into 2.0 with some people. If anyone starts up a LS/Grand Company, I'd be interested.

Would be pretty cool if we coordinated something to at least have a bunch of the members on the same server.
Easily done for me as I'll be first time XIV and have no ties that would be hard to sever. Can't say the same for the vets on here.
Let's be sure to stay active on here and when open beta/launch comes around maybe we can all decide on a server to roll.
