1. Streaming Patching (Not having to download the full game patch before you can play and the game is patched while you play it)
2. AOE Loot (Right click on one mob and loot the others you've killed too)
3. In Game Voice Chat (50/50 on this one as none ever uses it in WoW but it would be useful, especially for PS3 players)
5. Single Time Server Events – Events like the gates of AQ opening in WoW where the whole server gets involved for an epic world battle with lots of PVP!
6. PlayOnline style game launcher (Nowhere near as lengthy to actually get into the game but simlar design and music style would be awsome)

1. That would be a nice idea. I've always liked how Blizzard does that with Diablo III.
2. No experience with this, and it's a moot point for XIV. You don't have to loot mobs in XIV, loot automatically populates in a loot pool upon a mob being killed.
3. It would be nice if you could add mods for your existing voice chat servers(Mumble/Team Speak 3/lolVenterrible) to your UI for PS3.
4. So about bullet point 4. Where is it?(In before he edits the OP to correct it)
5. I've always been a big fan of one time, special server events. XI has only had one of them, afaik, and that would be the Twinkling Treant event that happened very early on to earn each world it's Outpost Warp privileges.
6. As annoying as I've always thought Playonline was, because of how long it takes to actually get into the game.. I would miss it if it was no longer there. It has a nice looking interface, it works flawlessly with mouse or controller(something that programs seem to have a hard time doing, for some reason), and it's music is great. A lot of people probably never explored the program, but you can even customize your POL background music as well as your wallpaper in it. It also served as our hub for account management for years. Since everything is now run from the SE account management system, maybe they should finally consider a POL overhaul. Make getting into XI quicker, make Tetra Master free(does that service still even exist?), and maybe merge in the SE account management system into POL, so you can take care of all your business(again) from right inside POL, rather than having to use the website as well.

I think Yoshi said he was hesitant because people speak different languages o_0 which I think is a lame excuse. People type different languages too. I'd definitely use it if they would add it.

I'd love that wave of nostalgia. I don't know about others but I actually used the PO mail services and the chat rooms.

While the NA and ER versions might have been pretty bare it wasn't that way for those residing in Japan. :)

Voice chat, would love it, Help strategics. Personally I plan on using ps3 for game pc for chat, to help cut down lag.

On the subject of voice chat: In my opinion Square Enix should avoid adding voice chat. It sounds good on paper, but every game that has tried it has ended up using extremely low quality settings and it's difficult to understand anyone using it. At least this has been the situation with both World of Warcraft and Planet Side 2.

2. AOE Loot (Right click on one mob and loot the others you've killed too) - As someone mentioned above, in the previous version of FF14, loot automatically went to your bag. If you were in a group it went into a treasure pool where you could lot on it, ala FF11.
3. In Game Voice Chat (50/50 on this one as none ever uses it in WoW but it would be useful, especially for PS3 players) - On top of the multiple languages supported, for some reason Yoshi-P said that somehow PSN (Sony) would have to support it for PS3. I don't know why though.
5. Single Time Server Events – Events like the gates of AQ opening in WoW where the whole server gets involved for an epic world battle with lots of PVP! - This woud be neat. In fact, I was hoping this was kinda how they would end of the old version of the game, but it just became a nightmare. They have the FATE system they're using which is like GW2's dynamic events, so it seems like they have the framework built for it if they decide to implement this.

They had something called Skirmish in FF14 1.0 where they made a couple areas that you could fight weaker copies of bosses to kind of prepare for the real thing in dungeons. I heard you didn't need a full group to win these. The rewards obtained for doing these were pretty decent and helped better gear you for the actual dungeons. I don't know if they're bringing this back or not.
As for voice chat, I think most groups that are serious about using it will end up getting a ventrilo/teamspeak server anyway. As you pointed out, I don't think the sound quality for WoW's internal voice servers were that great since the kbps settings had to probably be pretty low to keep latency across their network stable. I couldn't imagine millions of people trying to play the game and utilize the voice chat at the same time. Bandwidth could be the main issue Yoshi-P doesn't want to do it.

One of the many content i want to experience is the Chocobo. Huge improvements, not only we get to see our Chocobo fighting along side with us, but also able to customize their barding to look more awesome, also being able to tank, heal, and dps with us. :)
Can't wait to see how their chocobo system improves vastly than FFXI's counter part.

Personally, I'm not too excited for chocobos possibly being SWTOR-style companions. Mostly this makes the game more soloable and discourages grouping for those quests you are having a hard time with. I don't think I even grouped for the "elite" quests in SWTOR once I got my healing companion. I don't want to feel like it's "required" to raise a chocobo.

I remember when I first played I was a Conj. I did a spell and my char waved his staff and a circle animation was in front of me and it did damage to the creep. From my long experience with MMO's I find it a lot more nice on the eyes to see a projectile animation come from spells that meets with the target.

The only spell i can show is from ARR's Alpha Footage of Conjurer doing Stone spell, it does seems to have Projectile Animation. BTW 3 main elemental spells(Fire, Blizzard, Thunder) are given to THM instead. For THM is BLM

Aero is ok, can't wait for beta to test out THM/BLM's spell to see whether it projectile or not.

I'm hoping with that particular spell it's more in line with Final Fantasy XI. I'm a bit of a fan of the old twister / wind slash animation.

Can't wait to see how blizzard and thunder does it.

Stats and inventory on the right, game world in the center, chat and community functions on the left. Ya!
...just joking.

Got a few youtube videos. Nice. Sadly my main monitor runs on a different resolution to my side monitors. If they can work around that then it's gonna be perfect! I'll probably be torn between running better quality or tri-monitor with low quality...only running a GTX660 at the moment.
