im very excited to play ffxiv !

anyone know when the game going to release ? i saw the roadmap 1 month ago it says jan 2013 ! ?

Yoshi-P said in his last interview that they're 2 and a half months behind the roadmap. They were supposed to post a new roadmap but haven't done so yet. All we know for now is that Beta will be starting at the end of January or early February. Official launch will hinge on how long it takes to ensure everything from beta is ready to move to retail.

November > December > January was listed in May as the reboot phase. This is the phase we've been on according to the most recently available data so I don't see that aspect being behind by two months.

I was poking fun that the legal teams in each region will get it before it's localized into their language is all. :D

OMG when is ps3 beta going to start, I will certainly try and get into that, I have been waiting for so long to be able to play this game.

Am I able to sign up or send in the application now?

I don't need an active account because when I was trying to sign up I couldn't register it because it was when they had closed any new applicants.

It's only if you got a code with the game, and redeem it onto your SE account. But I don't see why they wouldn't. Don't expect them to invite only FF13 purchasers to PS3 beta, though.

I was under the impression only the Japanese version of XIII got the redeemable code that was intended to offer a ps3 beta option?

I was pretty sure that my copy of FFXIII came with code for Final Fantasy XIV. However, FFXIV is not FFXIV ARR so they might not even honor the code anymore. Man, that was a very divisive period for the Final Fantasy Franchise.

The non-JP copies I thought just gave you gloves or something of that nature. I know it was an in-game item but I believe Japan was the only region to include the code that granted a possible chance at the original ps3 beta.

I found details of the NA offer reported here. It says it doesn't guarantee beta access, just an opportunity to apply for it. And they're only in first-run copies of PS3 FF13.
