I've heard that original purchasers of the FFXIV 1.0 Collectors edition might receive an additional item/perk or two when they start FFXIV 2.0. Has anyone heard any good rumors or any confirmation about this? I heard something along these lines also through Aetheryte Radio Podcast, but forgot what it was now.

I imagine we aren't getting a box full of goodies or anything, but maybe a unique item would be nice.

Also, should I just delete FFXIV off my PC now since it's wasting space and collecting dust off my precious SSD Drive? Will there be a completely new game to download or will they be updating the old game to match the new one, making it logical to keep 1.0 on my PC?

Thanks in advance!

No news on possible perks as of yet. To my knowledge the perks of original owners have been put in place already, but things could change.

I would say feel free to remove the setup off of your drive, although you could just move it over to a standard drive if you want the option to play if/when they bring back the legacy servers as stated in the Players Poll.

Can't comment on the Aetheryte P.C though personally.

I hope this happens.

I lost my security token though! I haven't been able to log in for months! Squeenix wouldn't help, either.

They will most likely give all players who purchased the 1.0 PC version a reward.

The only "reward" that we know of, is that those with a registered 1.0 key, won't have to purchase A Realm Reborn. Other than that we only know of the Legacy account rewards (Chocobo, reduced sub fee).

I'm just assuming people who purchased 1.0 will get something like gear or a special in game item I can't see them not doing that after all the changes they were forced to make from 1.0 to 2.0 and how it inconvenienced players.

I hated those things, and assumed that I might lose it eventually, so I ended up taking off my token from my account not long after I activated it. Plus it was annoying having to either find it or press the button to log in.
