FINAL FANTASY XIV will celebrate its one-year anniversary on September 30th!

To celebrate FINAL FANTASY XIV’s one-year anniversary, we are presenting “Letter from the Producer LIVE,” a special live edition(*) of the Letter from the Producer on YouTube Live.

During this live broadcast, Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida will be answering various questions sent by players around the globe. Be sure not to miss this special opportunity to hear the words on the future of FINAL FANTASY XIV straight from the producer’s mouth!

More specific details will be announced at a later date.

Also released (thanks to Velhart) was a video from the Dev's showing loot drops from the Ifrit fight.

I think the Ifrit weapons look awesome. They're not too over the top and the designs looks like they were made of Ifrit himself. The Thaum weapon is a little underwhelming (and what's up with the blue?) but otherwise the rest look pretty good. The cool thing I noticed was the weapons only light up when you're in active mode. I hope they take that approach to armor in the future so we don't have a bunch of glowing people sitting around town glowing like in WoW.

Now I'm just curious if hard modes means R50 dungeon or if there's going to be another degree of difficulty to the R50 dungeon itself.

Same, I too am interested in what "Hard Mode" means, and I really hope they retro that idea into the dungeons as well, should really help keep people busy. :)

Probably referring to the Lv.30 and Lv.50 version of the fight.

True, if it is that, I'm ok with it, I would just hope that players having finished the fight could set the difficulty higher for added challenge and better drops. :)
