This is the Rig that I'm going to be building, unless I get a resounding "no" from all the forums savvy techies. The price range is around what I expected to be spending and I was actually able to get the cost down to about 1200 on newegg.

One problem I ran into while adding everything into my cart was, the Gpu is not available at the moment. I can wait until it is but I was wondering if This card would work for FFXIV and gaming in the future.

Some respectable manufacturers have 470s for only $50 more, which is* a huge jump in performance. That might be a "top 460" but $250 is simply too much for a 460.

Example: $300 MSI N470GTX-M2D12-B GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card


Especially if you just want a standalone card, you'd be much happier with a 470.

Also, you might want to consider a Radeon 5850, this one is actually cheaper...
