Greetings everyone and welcome to another episode of the CrystalCore podcast. This time episode 26!

Great podcast. Just want to make a few points about a some things you covered.

You talked about a /trade chat. If you ever played WoW in the last few years you know the /trade chat contains 99.99% non-trade related banter. Chuck Norris jokes, [anal] jokes, people asking what their GS is... While I'd like to see a 'functional' trade chat tab I don't think it will end up working too well. I think one reason it won't is because of the limit character space in one line of text. Also the lack of a way to link items in a way someone can see what they are and if they are better, doesn't help either.

The topic that SE is going to try and separate out all the Markets into categories so people will be able to find what they are looking for easier. One way they are going to try and 'encourage' people to place the correct items in the correct market is by adding a higher tax on the wrong items. While I think this might work somewhat for the people that actually want to follow the rules, I think the majority of the people will simply hike the prices up to pay for the increased tax. Kinda like any other tax it gets paid by the consumer not the manufacture.

Honestly I don't understand their reluctance to put in an AH. I realize its a countermeasure for Gold (Gil) Sellers and they don't want to see something like Scorpion Harness's going for 10mil to facilitate them. But when someone really needs a blue leather strap with golden sparkles to finally make that Hammer of Awesome-sauce its nearly impossible to find it in the markets. Just police the AH better, instead of not having one. My fear is that its already too late for them to put one in, they've put too much time and resources into the Market wards to simply abandon it now.

I'm with you, and I think an AH or a search function for the Market Wards is what is needed... When I say search, you have it broken up in categories, Weapons > Swords, Wands, etc... Armor > Shileds, Head, Body...

That way you can see what is put up on sale, and you already have a spot you can do this from... Just put it in the adventure guild next to the inn keeper or something like that.

Here is what I hope/think will happen. They will have an AH placed in Ishgard, and then they should implement the search feature for the market wards. They need to have some type of mailbox system in place, so hopefully we'll see this implemented here in the next few weeks.

All in all, there is a lot they need to do, will they do it, I'm betting yes, but it would be nice if they communicated this information with us... Not ever going to have an AH say so, planning on having it open here on November 22nd, let me know, that way I'm not guessing and hoping for some "miracle patch"... I think the big issue is they say they are working on these items, but we don't know a time frame, I don't need a date, they could just tell me that all this is coming in the first version update. Give me something to look forward to. :)
