day 1 of release, i felt that everything will turn out smoothly, starting from the payment system, assigning in-game items code, and full-screen alt+tab problem.

just for example;
day 1 - problems A started (can be 20 bugs reported) , SE acknowledged
day 2 - SE announced maintenance to fix all problems A.
day 3 - Problems B started (can be 10 bugs reported), SE acknowledged
day 4 - SE announced another maintenance to fix all problems B

and so on, until the Standard version release, all these problems have been fixed while we who already purchase CE struggled with the problems.

I do believe some people have the same thought as me, if you don't..... uhmmm... just don't shoot me

Other than having a little problem with my security token I've not run into any problems at all. I'm enjoying myself a lot.

I expected this...if not more...played many MMO launches...this is one of the smoother ones.

My only complaints are the extreme lag on skills and party invites and the extreme lack of mobs.

If those 2 things can get fixed, then its all good and Im happy... if those things cant get fixed, then next week when the REAL people start playing its going to be complete and utter hell.

I got CE for the headstart but I always end up regretting it because the fact is we're the ones that have to deal with congestion. The SE people start 8 days later but I can gurantee you the newbie areas won't be packed like they are now so who's the smart ones really?

But I'm still glad I bought it to play early

My only little problem is, I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO PLAY AT ALL YET! /endrage

I reactivated my FFXI account this morning, but my Hermes Shoes would not appear on my FFXIV character until recently (kept on creating a character over and over again throughout the day until I had them) BUT! my guild's server is Figaro, which currently is not letting people create new characters! So I can't even play the damn game until they open character creation again on Figaro.

So right now, I am extremely annoyed.

And since we're on the subject of complaining, the NA CE contents are the biggest joke of a CE ever. Tumbler + map = cool. Piece of useless paper rite of passage = uncool, as if SE is mocking the NA community.

Other than that, I do love the game, I can deal with bugs and lag for now, it'll all get fixed eventually. I don't regret buying the CE as I am a huge FF fan.

I've had 2 r0's, 1 "Not responding" and thats about it, few times the "enemy already engaged" even though its mine, but its only in the first camps which im abbout rid off, so thats probably just lag. Be fixed tomorrow maybe.

But i voted Sad on behalf of all them who expected more fixes.

I really expected the early release to be a little choppy, but it's not bothering me so much that I'm not having a freaking awesome time regardless. Registration and download went without a hitch, and the retail client is definitely running smoother than the OB did on my machine, so yeah - I'm psyched.


I jumped on Selbina with some friends, and my god I didn't expect it to fill up so fast! My only real issue thus far has been server lag due to population, but frankly that's to be expected while they adjust the servers for retail player loads compared to OB. Lag aside, I've had a wonderful night. Worked on Lancer a bit, got enough gil together to buy myself a hatchet... then went logging for a few hours and am now trying to barter my way to a saw for carpentry using my gathered materials. Can't wait to get on tomorrow and see if anything sold and sart on a new branch of the game, it's hard to sleep, heh.

I've crashed once in 9 hours. Some minor lag, which is to be expected on day 1.

So far this is a much smoother launch than many other MMOs.

Im sorry that new release of MMO tends to be that way, but it has. Especially on new stuff. So yea.. things can get ugly. But im cool, down in the memory lane, it's worth it ;)

No no, that's the server I picked, and it filled up really quickly.. a lot faster than I expected. I figured everyone would go to like... Wutai and Lindblum, or Mysidia, you know... popular old FF towns. Guess not.

i'll be disappointed if the lag isn't fixed after tomorrow's maintenance.
Game is pretty much unplayable on Mysidia which has full server load. When there is no one around? it's nice and smooth.
