I swear the last patch did something. My overall latency decreased by 200-300. There is virtually no ui lag when reequiping abilities, and my Rogadyn seems to be running. Ever since the 9/7 patch, the game is just so much smoother.

This is really great for what we can expect from SE. Maybe i'm making up stuff, but I swear the lag is so much better than when Open beta first started... am I losing it?

It seems like it's been getting progressively better with each update, if I had to compare today to day 1 of the OB the difference is actually pretty substantial, at least on my rig.

I have the same feeling as you, today I had for the very first time ever in the OB a green ping. For almost the whole gamingsession. The UI feels a bit faster too, but waiting for a NPC reaction takes as long as ever, I hope they'll improve that next! :)

Still yellow ping constantly, and FPS staying at 25-33 outside town and about 20 in town no matter how much I lower the settings.

Not noticed anything, its still the same. Yellow ping, but playable. The UI lag is still there, but I assume its designed to be that way cause its constant.

Same performance for me. But I am crashing a lot now, I hadn't crashed at all for the first few days of OB.

I actually hit green ping today for like 20 minutes. I get more framerates than I did at the beginning of beta, however there are more memory and code leaks because I randomly crash all the god damn time.

Haven't seen any considerable change in the UI clunkiness, maybe we need to wait for another patch for the rest of us? :th_020_bingo:

Yeah, I'll say it's different alright. Graphically the game is running about the same, the lag has gotten better, but I'm crashing WAAAAAY more (read every 10-15 minutes) just doing anything really. I can't find any rhyme or reason to it, it just seems to be completely random.

I used to crash once per 20 minutes or so.. yesterday I played a whole two hours and logged out of the game, on my own! Whee! I'm a big boy now, I actually have to log instead of just crashing and rage quitting for the evening ^_^

I noticed the improvement yesterday too, the menus respond a lot faster now. Now i'm fully convinced that it will be solved by release time.

Too bad for doomsayers, it seems things are getting better, almost if this was a beta...

Yeah I thought that the mouse was moving a lot smoother yesterday when I logged on. Then I noticed an abundance of mobs around Ul'dah. At that point the cynical side of me decided that it was all due to players moving on to the second camp. However, the optimist in me wants to believe that they actually did make some improvements.

I played for abour 3-4 hours in total yesterday and didn't crash once, I was a happy camper. XD Over the weekend I was in that every 10-15 minutes mode just like yourself, it was quite infuriating. But the issue appears to be remedied for me at least...

My ping hasn't improved (which is funny considering I'm on an 18mb connection) but the UI has certainly been responding faster than it used to. I'm quite excited!

I still get incredible Menu lag, but everything else is noticeably better. The menu scrolling is just so painful though, I can't even try crafting cause it takes 1-2 seconds to scroll through each item. then trying to get out of the crafting menu is just /wrist. I end up clicking onto the other monitor to crash the game cause it's less frustrating to restart then to get out of the menu's.

But everything else i notice is fantastic.

Still high pings and ui lag for me. Swapping jobs is practically a nightmare when i see something to mine as it takes ages to swap back to a combat profession and put skills back in x-x
