Wow, I should have came back to thread quicker, I posted it then got no replies so figured it'd die, but wow you guys are amazing, thank you all so much for the feedback of the data required, especially Cordovar and StBlueFire, some amazing results there.

Its a shame we cant get very high for more thorough testing, i just hope it doesnt change much by release, but we have a basic formula now maybe we can put it into practice.

I will edit OP with current information

That formula is nowhere near right. In fact I don't think there is a formula but instead a series that hasn't been figured out

IF we find that 15-16 we experience another extra 2 point jump the series is 9,6,3. Probably then repeating 3 (because we know it doesn't go down to 1 immediately) til 50 where I assume it probably uncaps.

Also about diminishing results it would be interesting to see if the diminishing results caps increases with rank. More data needed.

Who knows.

Vitality is the dominant statistic based on my experience testing / gaming. You can invest points into other Statistics, however Vitality is the one which will make the combat longer, which I believe is something we all seek to have because it furthers our understanding of combat situations.

Those are my thoughts. I hope you have some, too.

Well the cap is still working out the same as my theory.

As for usage of points. I've been only putting into vit/mnd and little into Pty but i see no difference on my pty so i may remove it all sometime but my physical is to high atm that my vit/mnd is capped.

Well, currently im Rank 29 and my MND cap is 101 (from points)

2 * rank * (1.<increment>) + 28

My <increment> is 3 (costs 3 points to 1 stat)

2 * 29 * (1.3) + 28 = 103.4

The 28 might be dependant upon the starting race you pick which mine might be 26 (hyur female), i dont know though. Closest formula i can get.

i was doing some research on my own with my ls and got a formula who works until now (rank 23) but i didnt have more caps after so i wasnt able to adjust it

the 23 first rank they are pair so you're 101 may be wrong 100 or 102, need to test it naked too in case of the gear change something

you're formula look good for you're rank after a round to nearest pair number
you got :
2 * 29 * (1.3) + 28 = 103.4 , rounded to nearest pair give you 104 , and i found 104 too so looks good

tested lower increament like rank 20 cap 76 inc was 2 , so 2*20*1.2+28= 76
i have the same result looks good here
rank 5 cap 38 cost 1, 2*5*1.1+28 = 39 wrong :(
rank 10 cap 50 cost 2, 2*10*1.2+28= 52 wrong too

sosplease do you are wearing a gear with 2 VIT in it ??

for rank 34 i calculate 122 and with the formula above 116 el3ctros check naked or total vit stat please

an other things we need to find is the soft cap like you said before 75 12hp/mp after 75 7.5hp/mp , and the effect on def or healing
i'm also testing int cap on rats and green monster that "should" be near my rank to see if the formula is something like the one in FFXI

This is hard because you can't really tell when a stat is half-way on the way to an upgrade (after 40).

Anyway, rank 13 is another 8/8+ increase.

And so was 14 and 15.

Some nice testing and that 39/52 is only off by a short amount, the way its calculating must be very roughly. It could explain how when some people level up, their HP/MP reduces in some levels, eg: 28-39.

Also VIT and MND from gear does not increase your HP/MP, only the stats they effect such as Defense/Heal. So it doesnt matter about that.

ok it doesnt increase hp mp but we are here to calculte all the caps , for hp or mp increase , but also the effect from the stats so vit and gear from gear doesent increase hp mp ok but they should increase def , def magic and perhaps healing or not so need more testing because if you cap mnd and getting 5mnd ring doesnt provide you more magic def or healing its important to know :p i am reseting all my stat to test for mnd soft and hard cap and effects of stats in gear

Just to add elemental stats cannot go higher than 184 will not let me put more points into it, not sure if this is the same for the other stats.

Rank 32: 112 VIT cap stat
Rank 33: 116 VIT cap stat

im rank 34 so when i get a new phys ima see if its gonna cap at 120.

I dont have any +VIT or +HP items, nd it does the same when I tried Mind at rank 32 and 33

I've noticed HP/MP Caps dont reflect stat caps.

I've had my MND 115-125 and no MP Change, but my Heal has increased.

Making the whole thing so much harder XD Hopefully MND cap for Heal will be the same cap for str/dex etc, then it'd be easier, as getting cap on heal is easy.

I have a few to add.
35 = 122
36 = 126
37 = 128
39 = 136
40 = 138
41 = 142

I'm sorry I missed 38.. swore I wrote them down, and like my previous input.. these are based on when hp stops increasing from vitality. I don't have the time to test the heal cap for mnd.

Edit: updated with 37

Where R=Rank

If R<10 do R*2+28

If R=or>10 do R*2*(1+(R/100))+28

Figured this out a while ago. Last 2 highest Ranks we tested was Rank 26 and Rank 33.

26*2*(1+(26/100))+28=93.52 (A LS mate confirmed the cap was 94)

33*2*(1+(33/100))+28=115.78 (I confirmed the cap was 116)

Now do i get a cookie?

Electros ensure you are completely naked while testing. Cause if your 40 and 41 results are true it means it changes again at Rank 40. Until then looks like i'll have to do more testing when i hit 40 to confirm your results.

Nice job on the formula, I'm not enough of a math wiz to confirm/deny it.

When I checked all these caps it was in gear. From my testing and everything I've read naked or geared doesn't matter. I don't really have the time to recheck the 41 cap naked, however I should get 42 sometime tonight. When I do my vit cap testing at 42 I will make sure to do it naked for you.

I think its more likely that it changes at 40 than I made a mistake. I level with another gladiator and we both test the cap each level.
