Final Fantasy Blue Crystal Necklace
Final Fantasy Blue Crystal Earrings
Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy

Two runner ups will receive their choice of one item from the list below:
- Final Fantasy XI: Vana'diel Collection 2008
- Final Fantasy X
- Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
- Final Fantasy Blue Crystal Necklace
- Final Fantasy Blue Crystal Earrings
The Contest
The concept of this contest is based off the seeming idea of freedom in Erozea instilled by the Final Fantasy XIV team. They continue to speak of freedom with as few limits as possible. We see this in a lot of places: fluid combat system, a job system that encourages hopping between jobs, neutral job names and lack of defined roles, ect.
In honor of this rather interesting take on an MMORPG we have decided to use "freedom" as our own theme, using the least amount of limits that we could. And so the rules of the contest are very simple and unfortunately not very original: show us your love of Final Fantasy XIV or FFXIV Core in the way you best can. This can be as simple as a short story or dressing your cat as a mandragora and taking a snapshot.
Everyone can take part in this contest and no method will be refused. We're also not looking for professional work or anything that will make us speechless, so no worries! Just have fun! All the entries we find amusing enough in some way, be it funny, amazing, scary, weird, thoughtful, cute, or whatever else will be placed into a lottery to be drawn from.
This ensures the ultimate fairness: Those of you who actually put effort in don't have to compete with someone who just signed up, joined the contest, and then faded into oblivion leaving lady luck to do his dirty work. It also allows all interesting entries a fair shot at the prize, regardless of skill level.
If we see anything truly incredible, however, we may offer that member the a choice of a first place or runner up prize for their outstanding work. This is in addition to choosing a first place winner and two runner ups, not in place of.
The Rules
Anyone can enter and the entry can be in any format, but it must be feasibly viewable by us. This means you can't snail mail us anything and requiring us to install something will be sticky at best.. Keep the content clean and unoffensive as well. Artistic nudity is fine, but be sure to get approval from myself first by tossing me a PM..
Speaking of PM's, please do not PM the admins or moderators about the contest for any reason other than PMing me for approval of your entry if you think it might be borderline. If you have a question post here and one of the mods or myself will get to it eventually.
Choosing FFXIV Core over FFXIV in general as your topic will not net you any more or any less "points" with us. We'll judge all entries fairly and equally. It must be related to FFXIV or FFXIV Core however, though we will stretch it to allow FFXI content in honor of it being FFXIV's big brother.
To Enter
Post your entry or a link to where we can view it here: http://www.ffxivcore...t-entries-8609/
Keep all discussion of the contest in this thread if possible, please.
The Deadline
The deadline for submissions is the 21st of August, 2009. Hopefully we can have the winners selected by the 24th. Limits will be extended as needed. Please do not request for the limit to be extended, it will be done on a judgment basis by the FFXIV Core staff.
Disclaimers
This contest is for non FFXIV Core staff if that wasn't already obvious. Generally it would be best if you are a resident of the US, though that is flexible. We may not be able to send some prizes or any at all depending on where you live; in that situation we will work something out.
We're not promising you anything! There should be no issues hopefully, but if the need be we have the right to substitute prizes. If you win, choose carefully. Once selected and shipped your prize can not be returned or exchanged. We at FFXIV Core do not take liability for any issues created as a result of this contest and if it's for some reason prohibited in your area the contest is void for you. You must be 18 years or older to enter. We will not substitute prizes with cash nor accept substitution requests. The entry is yours and we will not claim ownership of it in any way.
