To Blog or not to Blog...
Goes the age old expression from Shakespeare. Tho im more closely related to Robert Boyle the great Physician, but thats nither here nor there.
Ive been wresteling for and against writing a blog because Ill probally come across rather boring and full of... rubbish (for want of a better expression) But finally my desire, to keep my beloved character from FFXi alive until release of Xiv has overcome my vanity.
Now what to type... hmmm...
I guess im still a Tarutaru at the moment and djust waiting to magically transform into my new form of Lalafell, but I wish SE would get on with releasing some more information, especially about the mage class and magic skills. I know that not everyone is as obsessed as I am about magic, but for me it was what drew me towards the early editions of the FF series. My mate Marty was always dead set on bashing things to a pulp as a MNK and that gave me a good insight into how the other half lived in the life of a MMO. Whilst he was quite content on sitting by the dock of a bay, I was more the adventurous type and loved to go out avatar slaying, tho it did become rather easy. Challenges are hard to come by on your own, and rewards tend not to be to great for those who wish to battle things solo. Maybe the new world of Erozea will be slightly more rewarding. I can see how building skills with a staff or sword are possible from reading some great articles in core, but what about my magic skill?? Will it still be linked to weapons I wonder... I loved FF7 where you could equip pieces of materia into slots of a weapon. This could be a cool prospect for SE to take. Then as they say, your class is purely based on the weapon yet you can still use some magic skills even as a hardend Warrior. But swords wouldn’t have as many slots as a staff odviously. Hmmm, would that really be a good thing. Im very much a classic fighting system style fan,.. I hear alot of people talking about FF tactics and the way that FFxiv maybe base on the same style. I only ever played it on my Taru PSP and wasn’t greatly impressed. I played it once on an airship trip to the jungles but never picked it up again.. anyway thats enough rambling from this Taru, I gotta watch East Saru Enders now and find out who killed Archie Mandy.
