Well, I haven't posted in a while so I figured I would come back and update you all.
I'm really enjoying FFXIV, its a lot of fun and the people on the game are really great. I have all the DoW and DoM classes to at least r10 now which was fun to do, and I'm p17 now. All in all, things are good in the game, however with the new year coming around in a few days, many people have been posting a list of things they want implemented into the game, so here's my list!
uno: some sort of tutorial system for leves, and for crafting. Leves are pretty simple
to figure out on your own after some guessing, but I spent my first day on the game
grinding because I couldn't figure out how to get new leves. Not a fun
introduction to the game. Crafting still confuses the heck out of me, so a tutorial
for that would be really cool, because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's
confused haha.
due: monsters that drop equipment and rare items! In all the games I've played, one of
my favorite things to do is to collect rare items. In a game where everyting is
player-produced, rare items seem to be hard to come by. Monsters who drop such
items could be more difficult-NM's?-and give another incentive for players to group
up. It would also bring more money into circulation from the buying and selling of
such items, which ofcourse would be uncraftable
tre: NPC quests. Just little tasks that NPC's could give out for players to do. Kill
this for me, get this item for me, deliver this letter to so and so for me, find
my lost dog, etc. etc.. A little money reward, maybe some SP/XP, all depending on
the task. It would be fun. (kudos to Brian for this idea, I wanted to include it so
I could tie it into my next idea)
quattro: towns located across the continent! They would be like the towns in other ff
games, just providing little pit stops for the traveling player. FFXIV is a
game which everyone can play their own way, and maybe an Explorer DoL class
could be implemented also, with the task for going to each town on the
continent with mini tasks in between, idk! My idea for the town is that each
town would have a series of mini-quests for a player to complete to help "save"
the town. Maybe mini bosses could be incorporated as part of these mini-quests.
This idea probably leans most towards the solo-player, although I'm sure that
groups would enjoy this too.
And that's pretty much all I want. Who knows, if SE doesn't pull through, maybe I'll have to include all of this in my next letter to SC
....damn I'm clever

Hey be nice Sorien maybe he is talking in Sprench (that would be a combo of Spanish and French). Most people in the US don't even speak English or type it correctly any ways. Lets see depending on where you are at there is lots of words that are normally slang ever been in those states near Canada where most sentences are finished with "Dont you know?" Or have you ever spoken to some one from New York or Boston, you can hardly understand them lol, and lets not forget the million other languages that are spoken along with English, like Spanglish or Creole with their half English half French.
But on another note, while I agree with some of your stuff Frele the game is trying to get away from what all other MMO's have (not sure if that is a good thing or not) and do their own thing. Even if it has failed to some point.
1. Yes some tutorials would be nice, but not to the point of them holding your hand all the way through the game. Why not ask for some one to play the game for you instead of you playing it yourself if everything needs a tutorial?
2. They have introduced NM's so their you go. These NM's will be dropping stuff that nothing else in game drops.
3 and 4. You are asking for quest hubs, while I don't mind quest hubs similar to WoW's I do not see it as entirely necessary. Yes some other towns that actually have people that you can interact with instead of what they have now would be nice.
I dont know what they can do to make the game better, in its current state it leaves much to be desired. But then again I don't have a definite answer that would fix the game either. Guess will have to wait and see what they got for us this year.
