Final Fantasy Xiv is underapriciated and what i mean by that, is that people start off by comparing it too others games and already build there opinion upon something without ever stepping foot in eorzia.

The game won't be for everyone but it is funny how some people just keep on pointing out the negativity of the game out.It is barelly 2 weeks old they will need time too tweak and fix somethings.

If you need too be convinced too play the game or any game for the matter then you are playing the wrong thing and dont need a reason too either play it or not play what you enjoy.

I keep defending the game versus some negatif opinions cause i enjoy myself playing it and dont see some of the issues other might have or not have.

Free trial will end soon and some of the hate and hype will dissipate and the real population and people on the servers will emerge.

Remember the days when people just enjoyed the games as they were meant too be not comparing them too others ? I sure miss those days of old school rpgs.

Some might think ffxiv is doomed for a short life cause of all the negatif feedback but not every mmo will have millions upon millions of subscrivers once you find your niche players and keep them happy ffxi as done a fine job of that the last few years and it is still going strong i have faith ffxiv will do the same.

Its not cause you enjoyed one final fantasy or played ffxi for x number of years that you have too play ffxiv it won't make you less of a final fantasy fan , just accept the game for what it is a beautifull game and a different attempt at a mmo.

The problem is that ffxiv is not finished/polished to me feels like a closed beta and were paying for it. No need to compare it to any other game but if it takes me 20 minutes to just sell loot to npc vendor is furstraiting. Targetting takes too long by the time I target next mob I'm at half HP allready. Today's updates state retainers/wards are being fixed but wtf SE no one wants that stupid lagfest system just give people what they want a effing auction. Graphics are only strong point in this game ATM. I played ffxi for 6 years and had fun but last 2 weeks in ffxiv has been pain not fun.

:th_070_goodjob: :th_070_goodjob: Very well said Shenji, glad to see some positive realistic light shed on what I think is a wonderful game world in it's infancy. I will be staying, and patiently waiting for updates and new adventures. Glad to see that this world hasn't devolved into a bunch of spoon-fed insta whiners. Was getting a little tired of the game getting trashed on and torn apart so early. There are still more pluses than minuses. Maybe my view of others is harsh, but many folks seem to purposely feel the need to ruin my enjoyment of the game. Scared to read many forums, even the ones on "FAN sites". So much negative and so little patience or try. It may have its rough edges, and not be a game that custom fits everyone, even past FF fans. But I think it will survive and grow. And with that said I am sure I will find some positive fans and adventurers to enjoy this new world with. TY, Shenji for being realistic, it's refreshing.

P.S. I think the S.E. team is working very hard on this game, which is many of their life-works. I am gonna laugh at people, if in weeks, or even a few months, if the major glitches and rough edges melt away and all is well. Doubt I will see many posts reaffirming faith in FF and SE LoL. Hope to see more positive posts and constructive info posted for the game. i.e guides, personal walkthrough. Q&A's for questions new adventurers have etc. Such as my blogs and posts on both FFXIVcore and FFXIVThe Lodestone. I have a listing of city and traveling folks who repair gear as a craft. Feel free to view it and add yourself if you do repairs. :)

**below isn't a hateful or bashing post... I'm merely being realistic
I actually have hopes for FFXIV and I'll keep an eye on it...I just won't be paying for it until it's a finished game

The world would be a wonderful place if people didn't compare a game to other games of it's type... However, that is not the case... It's human nature to compare upcoming/new products to successful/older products...

FFXIV has potential... it really does... but in reality should you really cling to potential in hopes that players will stick by and pay for a potentially decent game when they can easily play something else? It's not a smart move... Maybe back in the day, when there wasn't much in the way of mainstream MMOs, something of this nature could pass for a release.

I work retail and this is the first time I have actually seen customers demand money back for a MMO... Which shocks me because I can think of a few recent ones that failed horribly and the most I ever heard was the game sucked... and you know what the sad thing is 90% of the customers tell me that if there was an AH they'd see it out... really? All they have to do is implement a better buying/trading system and people will be happier...

**from what i heard** This retainer system was to try and stop RMT or something like that... not sure if that is true or not ... if it is true then it's actually doing the opposite... Think of it... who has the time/patience to go through all the retainers? certainly not your average player... I've actually got more gil spam browsing markets then anywhere else.

The other big problem I hear from people is it takes too much time to do anything... Opening up any menu takes time... whether it be vendors or crafting... granted that has actually improved somewhat since beta but c'mon... And then it takes a few mins to sell each item... yea not cool...

Really... what it breaks down to is FFXIV is not finished... it's a Flintstones car in the Jetsons world... sure it might go somewhere and look interesting but who really wants that when they can have better for the same price?
