I'm curious about the scores on the benchmark for a Nvidia 250 GTS, so I thought I would post a comparison between Lowres and Highres and basically run a poll to see how many people think I should go with High res instead of Low res even though the scores vary majorly. Although I have been reading that people are getting lower scores then me and they are still running fine in the beta. so I am gonna run a poll to see what everyone else thinks. Please feel free to look at the pictures below and answer the poll based off of your thoughts, Thank you very much for your time.

This Poll will remain open until the 15th of September(9/15/10) from the original entry date, in order to collect sufficient data via poll and comments. Thank you for understanding.

I scored a 2400, and my Asus is a beast by present standards, so now I think I have to go out and buy a Alienware super gaming machine for FFXIV.

well Asus and Alienware are both great but it really depends on the parts in the computer when customizing, I dunno though I've asking around and I dunno if I should spend another 900.00 dollars for more ram and the GTX 480

I will stay in low res myself, hell 'low' is 720p, in my book that's more than enough.

I was thinking that but even running with full screen on low res will that effect the load time?

My guess is it really won't, as far as I know the game uses the same textures for both resolutions, and even in your benchmark results low took longer to load (probably because you ran it first).

I'm going to play it in HD, because I can. I don't care much about the resolution. Ive never played anything at 2400x1600 or whatever the super highest "gaming" resolution is. With. Your score, id probably play it on lower resolution with better textures and frame rate then higher resolution slow and choppy.

yeah I see what you mean, that is something I'll for sure have to take into consideration.

I honestly plan on trying out both. My scores were
High - 2731
Low - 4000+

I would say just try them both and see which one you like better. Sometimes you won't even see much of a difference between the two.
I would prefer running it in high because my screen is effing huge.
I guess see how both look on your screen and decide what you want to to sacrifice.
Would you rather the game ran smoother and faster or would you want it to look better?

I prefer smooth and faster honestly lol and all of the low res footage I have seen I was shocked to find out that it was low res. I think you will be happy with it no matter what res you have to run it on. ^-^
